Dr. Amy grew up in Kansas and has been in love with caring for animals since childhood. Being actively involved in 4-H as a child encouraged Amy to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She received a Bachelor's of Science in 2008 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 2010.
Dr. Amy Fousek has been serving the ranchers and livestock owners of Siskiyou County and their animals since 2016.
Her veterinary interests are equine dentistry and cattle herd health. Dr. Amy's four legged babies are Jessie, the spoiled Border Collie, Crusher - the ginormous Labrador, George and Grey Kitty. Pearce, the old ranch horse, Skip the one eyed wonder horse and Molly the old mule. She enjoys spending time with her husband Tom, riding horses, traveling, eating good food and raising their young son.
